Main tasks:
- comprehensive diagnosis of rheumatic diseases in children and the latest outpatient and clinical treatment
- cooperating with all rheumatology departments for children in Poland on the development of a scientific data base with information about the biological treatment of children
- cooperating with all rheumatology departments for children in Poland aiming at developing Polish diagnostic and treatment standards in developmental age rheumatology
- rheumatic consultation for medical departments for children from all over Poland
- pharmaceutical clinical trials
- multidirectional research covering epidemiology, etiopathogenesis, the clinical picture, prevention and (pharmacological, surgical and rehabilitation) treatment of inflammatory systemic connective tissue diseases in developmental age
- educating and conducting trainings organized by the Center for Postgraduate Medical Education; individual trainings for doctors specializing in pediatrics and rheumatology
