The Director of the National Geriatrics, Rheumatology and Rehabilitation Institute in Warsaw appointed following entities by virtue of the Directors Order no. 38/2015 of 18th November 2015:

  • the National Geriatrics and Gerontology Council
  • the National Rheumatology Council
  • the National Rehabilitation Council
  • the Social Seniors Council

Above mentioned Councils are initiating, consultative and advisory bodies of the Director of the Eleonora Reicher National Geriatrics, Rheumatology and Rehabilitation Institute in the scope of its statutory activities and the development of scientific and research activities.
Tasks of the National Rheumatology Council:

  1. Initiating new research related to rheumatology, rheuma-orthopedics and rheuma-neurology.
  2. Establishing Polish medical standards and recommendations related to the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic diseases.
  3. Expressing opinions on medical standards and recommendations related to the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic diseases.
  4. Initiating the implementation of new medical procedures in rheumatology, rheuma-orthopedics and rheuma-neurology.
  5. Initiating the implementation of epidemiological studies in rheumatic diseases.
  6. Expressing opinions on systemic and organizational changes within rheumatology.
  7. Expressing opinions on planned changes in pre- and postgraduate education of medical professionals in rheumatology.
  8. Implementing online courses for doctors into the rheumatology postgraduate education system.
  9. Initiating changes within the structure of rheumatological care.
  10. Initiating research in the field of rheumatology within different specialized disciplines and the cooperation between those disciplines.
  11. Establishing and maintaining scientific contacts related to rheumatology, rheuma-orthopedics and rheuma-neurology with other national and foreign governmental and nongovernmental organizations.
  12. Popularizing the achievements of Polish rheumatology, rheuma-orthopedics and rheuma-neurology abroad.
  13. Initiating the participation of representatives of the Institute in congresses, conventions and scientific conferences on issues of rheumatology, rheuma-orthopedics and rheuma-neurology.
  14. Processing and analyzing indirect costs of rheumatic diseases and introducing proposed changes reducing these costs.
  15. Developing procedures for the analysis of indirect costs of rheumatic diseases in reimbursement decisions.
  16. Developing standard ways to keep patients with rheumatic diseases working.
  17. Popularizing multidisciplinary aspects of caring for patients with rheumatic diseases.
  18. Developing and initiating the implementation of solutions in the field of telemedicine into the system of caring for patients with rheumatic diseases.
  19. Initiating and developing a osteoarthritis prevention program.
  20. Developing standard health programs for inflammatory diseases.
  21. Initiating and expressing opinions on proposals for the National Health Program.
